Cecilia Mae is 4 Months Old!

Cecilia came to visit Friday evening while her mommy and daddy went out for the evening.
Will had fun doting on her - he spread out a blanket and brought her tons of stuffed animal toys from Sophie's closet bin.
Sophie wasn't sure about her, but I got some super cute video of her "talking" to Cecilia.
Here are the cousins:
Sophia (15.5 mos), Will (3 yrs, 2 mos), Cecilia (4 mos)
I love Cecilia's constant "what the heck?" expression. Just like Will as a baby. :)
Uncle Craig helped me feed her the bottle of Kelly's milk.
It's just so fun to feed a baby. Is it just me or is there something soooo satisfying about watching a baby/child drink something? Am I crazy? I just love (bottle or cup) to watch a child drink and know they are nourishing their little bodies and that it is instinctive for them to know how to do that. It's especially rewarding when you're breastfeeding because YOU made that nourishment! But I can see why sometimes family members might get pushy/complainy about wanting to bottle feed an exclusively breastfed baby (not that I experienced that at all)... who wouldn't want in on that wonderfully rewarding, bonding experience? Anyway, I haven't had many opportunities to bottle feed a baby, and it was fun!

Then on Sunday, Kelly, Steve & Celia came back over for a brief visit and we got to play some more! Dr. Kelly is a veterinarian and she spent some time teaching Will various (unheard of, except to a vet) names of body parts of the cow, using his little, anatomically correct farm animal figurines. Haha! Cecilia's going to be a smart, little lady!

Oh, and we're looking forward to her baptism in a couple weeks. Craig is going to be her Godfather!

Ashley...I typically read blogs/organize pictures/shop online on the computer while I am pumping if all babies are happily sleeping and I just wanted to let you know that anytime you have the urge to bottle-feed a baby...come on over. We are serving 21 bottles a day here :)
