Boo. I still haven't gotten a decent photo shoot for this most recent monthly update. So, I only have a couple new ones that are just okaaay, and a couple repeats that are recent faves.
Diaper boxes make the best cars! Oh, and check out yet another war wound below her eye from where she fell into Will's train table. I swear, this girl is trying to make it look like we beat her.

Remember these? Ya, sorry. I'm repeating. And these are actually several weeks ago now. :(
Friday (the 20th) marked Sophia's 16 month birthday.
One of the biggest changes since last month is just how grown up she is looking lately! She looks so much more mature in the face and her hair continues to grow (and remain curly in the back). Our girl is getting to be quite a young lady. :)
Other new things with Soph include:
3 MORE teeth! I've lost count now. I'll have to check her baby book to see how many we're up to at this point.
A few more regular sayings: "day do" (thank you) is very common now, "I yo" (I love you) is a new one that I love, and she's still repeating a lot more. Will loves to ask her to say words and then praise her when she does. It's so cute. She's also waving and saying "bye" a lot more now.
A few new body parts learned: nose, mouth, feet and belly button.
Sleep: some days, she seems to be heading towards dropping her morning nap... other days she is a BEAR without it. So I think we're keeping it around for awhile yet. Will didn't drop his morning nap till 18 months, so I guess this isn't unusual yet. She's growing! Duh. But she is getting too tall for some of her clothes and beginning to move into a size 5 shoe in some brands. Still fits many of her size 4 sandals, but some others are too small.
Poor Sophie has had a (sporadic) red, little, bottom lately. She is pooping like 4-5 times per day some days and it's really doing a number on her hiney. The doctor said to give her some powder supplements of acidophilus (the stuff in yogurt), which are just added to a beverage, but we haven't tried that yet. And, yes, I'm familiar with the BRAT/BART diet and she's already pretty good on most of those foods regularly, so who knows. We're just keeping her clean and dry and layering on the Butt Paste as best we can.
I thought peeing on the potty had come to a screeching halt recently... (and it has slowed down)... but then I caught another poop on the potty and since then she's back to peeing at least 1-2 times per day on the potty.
She loves to "dance and sing", though she's mostly just smiling and swaying to whatever I'm singing. :) And she just laughs A TON whenever I get down on the floor and chase her around.
Looking forward to another joyful month with Sophia!
