What We're Reading

Lots more reading the past couple months!

Kids loved Horsefly and Honeybee!
I'm a huge fan of The Way I Feel and will definitely be purchasing The Way I Act after reading it.  Just as good.

Pete the Cat was new to us but apparently he's a very popular (and cool!) little character.  There are three Pete the Cat books that I know of.  I love that they have a website where you can listen to the story (which is actually a song) sung by the author and some kids.  I love the illustrations and I love the cool song!  A definite must read and a definite purchase for us!
Sophie and Will were obsessed with watching the video and listening to the song!  And I loved hearing Sophie say "It's all good!" with such a funny voice while she read or listened to the story.  Here, she's watching it on my phone.
Another one of Soph - same night, later on - busted for having lights on and books in bed when she was supposed to be sleeping.

Yoga books!  Will LOVED them!  Especially the lion one.
With packed lunches on the horizon, I found these two books to read with the kids.  I adore the How Did That Get In My Lunchbox? book.  It's the story of food instead of "it came from the store".
I also loved Cow.  But then, I'm such a sucker for books about farming and raising food animals.  This was about dairy cows and how a day on the family farm went for the cows.  Loved it.

This one's a cool brain teaser.  Words with numbers in the spelling.  You have to pronounce the number to say the word.  A cool mind trick that Will totally dug!
Sophie loved Please, Puppy, Please although I thought it a bit weird.
The other two Pete the Cat books!!  I want them all!  They're so cool!
As for me, I'm addicted to food books lately.  I'm checking all these out from the library and loving the skim through for inspiration and ideas.
This one was recommended by Catherine from Weelicious.  I'm really digging it.
So dreamy...  ahhhh... and a little far-fetched for my current phase of life.  Maybe when my kids are older and I have more free time, I'll try out a bunch of awesomely complicated and delicious ice cream recipes.  ;)

Want this!  She's a little over the top, but I loved reading it and, as I've said before, I can totally be sold on purchasing a book that inspires me even if I make nothing from it.  There were a bunch of recipes I'd like to try, though.
The title of this is Grow, Cook, Eat.  Another garden-to-table cookbook (like Tender, above). Also, another Search Ohio book that required the big, fat, sticker slapped on the front while I borrow it.  ;)
