InstaFriday

Another week in recap...
Part of our uber-relaxing weekend:  lunch picnic outside on Saturday.
Stinkin' cute.  Love this chickadee.

Date night with Will.  Discover the Dinosaurs at the Seagate!

Elementary playground trip on Sunday.  LOTS of spinny toys!
First day of K!  Woot! Woot!
The night before school started, we read The Kissing Hand.  In the hardcover copy of this book that we purchased last year, there is a sheet of kissing hand stickers to place in your palm like Chester and his mom's kiss.  Will asked if he could take one to school the next day, but then changed his mind just before heading over to Lisa's and the bus stop.  He peeled it out of his palm and gave it to me...
Guess he knew who would be needing it more this morning.  ;)
[Side note:  somebody get this girl some lotion!  I must have had my hands in water a bunch with cooking the night before.  They look 80 years old!]
On Thursday evening, I had another meeting with the director of business services and the middle school/high school head cook for Genoa.  This time, we met in the high school cafeteria and I can't remember the last time I'd been in there!  It's different!  It was dark when I arrived as the ladies I was meeting were heading over from the board office, but I noticed the track record boards had been moved from the hallway to inside the lunch room.  Last spring, a girl at Genoa apparently tied my record (not sure of the 10ths or 100ths of a second, so I think they insist she must be below 5:28 completely).  Until Thursday, I thought they'd given it to her!  But I guess they're keeping my name up until it's 5:27 or below.  :)  You can't see the whole board, but it's currently the longest standing track record on there!  (Not including shot, discus or high jump.)
Another pic of Kindergarten, day two.
On Friday night, Craig went grocery shopping after dinner and I took the kids for a bike ride post bath and wearing pj's.  This is the first time Will's been in the trailer in a LONG time, but I didn't want him getting sweaty after bath and I wanted us all to get some fresh air.  The trailer is built to support 100# so we're a ways off the weight limit, but MAN!!  Adding another kid's weight was a BIG difference compared to just my little Soph!  They brought books and contentedly looked at them while we rode.  We passed our buds Jagger and Jax's house and they hopped off the trampoline to come say hello.  :)
The End!
