Be Mine, Valentine!

On our "blizzard day" at home (Happy Groundhogs Day, by the way!), Will and I got a jump start on making Valentines for his school party. This is the first time we've ever had a whole class full of kids to make Valentines for. In the past, it's just been cousins and kids at the babysitters. So we kept it super simple and went with one of Will's biggest interests right now as the theme. I pre-cut hearts in red, pink and cream colored card stock and wrote in the short-and-sweet message. Then he applied the stickers and signed his name on each. I thought for sure we'd have to do this in shifts - maybe even spread it out over several days - because he wouldn't want to write his name that many times. But apparently, when the project involves dinosaur stickers for his friends, Will is much more motivated. He diligently wrote his name 18 times and we finished this very quickly.

I love the focus and concentration! And I think they turned out pretty cute. Now we just have to attach them to a cellophane bag of candy and we're good to go!
I also made three little Valentines for Sophie to give to her cousins. Aren't they cute?

I found the ideas for these Valentines here and here. We used dinosaur stickers instead of figurines. :) I also really loved this one (it even has Sophie's name on it!) but never got around to picking up hair clips for the cousins. So I'll probably save that for next year.

The sample has Sophie's name and Mia - which is pretty close to Mya. :)
