School Music Program

Will had his first school music performance on Sunday! Actually, they sang at the Thanksgiving program but that was just in front of the parents. Sunday's program was during the church service (the preschool is held in a church) in front of the whole congregation. Plus, the Tues/Thurs group (3-4 year olds) sang with the Mon/Wed/Fri group (4-5 year olds) for the very first time (they've never been all together before) and each child invited parents AND extended family to be there. It was a packed house and the church served coffee, donuts, muffins and fruit afterwards.
The music program was in sync with their recent weather unit so they sang songs about the weather and then finished it off with a bell ringing performance with the other children in the congregation. Will was surprisingly quiet with most of the songs. He definitely isn't a little performer like some of the kids up there. But ALL the kids were really well behaved and the music was well received. Shortly after the program began, Will dashed out into the center aisle and bee-lined for us. My mom heard him say "I'm going to see my mommy!" He just gave Craig and I a quick hug and then ran back to his spot. :) He was also really distracted by seeing his buddy, Jagger, there that morning. Jagger's in the M/W/F class and Will knows he goes to school there but has never interacted with him IN school. Jagger also goes to the same babysitter that we go to so he and Will are old pals.
Okay, I have a few pictures to share, but I must warn you that none of them are good. Not one. First of all, I was about halfway back in the pews and the lighting was dark. Second, we were trying primarily to video the performance and just gave up on attempting both.
Walking in:

That's Jagger in the green sweater. He has such a cute family. He's the oldest of three and all the kids are adorable. His younger sister Charlize ("Charlie") is four months younger than Will and his younger brother Jaxson ("Jax") is a couple months older than Sophie.
I'm bummed that it's so dark. Hopefully Casey got some better ones - she was in the front row. Will is front row all the way to the right.
Sophie, watching Will sing with Craig's parents.
It was a fun (albeit early!) morning. :)
