Dear Tom & Marilyn,
Today is a special day.
Craig is turning 32!
Duh. Of course you knew that. :)
I know it's not a milestone year or anything, but I guess I'm just feeling extra appreciative of my blessings lately and wanted to tell you how much I appreciate the person you've helped Craig become.
For as long as I've known Craig, one of the characteristics that stands out most to me is that he is just SO GOOD! He has such a good conscience and always wanting to do right by everyone. I imagine he was a very good and sweet little boy with lots of love to give, just as Will and Sophie are now. I think about how very much I love my children and how I want them to be good and happy people. And I think it would mean the world to me to one day hear this from their spouses. So I'm telling you today! :)
Craig is kind and good to our families and friends.
He is gentle and fun with our children.
He is loving and considerate to me.
Craig makes me laugh just about every day and is easily the most interesting person I know.
He is loyal and thoughtful and just everything I want in a husband and friend.
And so today on his birthday, I just want you to know how VERY MUCH I love Craig. He is an amazing man and I feel so lucky to be his wife. I feel lucky that he had a loving and supportive family to grow up in. I feel lucky that his family continues to love and support him (and us!). And I feel lucky to spend my life with one of the best people I know.
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you!
Sincerely,
Ashley

Then I guess we did ok.
Raising kids - as you are now, is tough. You pray for the best, not knowing what the future holds. Having wonderful interactive grandparents means a lot too, as Craig and Kelly knew not to let their Grandmas and Grandpas down.
I always taught the kids to reach for the sky - as they could always fall back on a cloud or two. And it seems that it paid off - as he got himself an angel for a wife. I'm proud of my whole family - -and love each and every one of you. Thank you for seeing how special I knew Craig was going to be.
I hope I live to see Will, Sophie and Cecilia grow up. I know they too, will be wonderful loving people. They have to be - -they know of nothing else. Thanks again for your kind words, Love, Mom & Dad Riedeman Happy Birthday honey! We love you. (Dad too, he just can't say it in words.)
