This post is on pumpkin patch overload! :)
Pumpkin patches are such a great, (free!) fall activity for the kids.
My mom told me about a cute, little place nearby that we decided to visit on a week night. It's called Parker's Pumpkin Patch and is considerably smaller than Fleitz's, but still very cute.

The big deal for both kids when we visited each patch was locating the nearest wagon to pull around. Especially Sophie - she loves wagons.
Boo - it's blurry. But the inside of their barn has lights draped from the ceiling! Very festive.
Go Bucks!
They were watching some strange man (the farm owner) goof around to get them to smile. Haha - I guess it didn't work! :)
This past weekend we went over to Craig's parents house to visit and take a hay ride.

There are currently only two swings on the swing set - one regular swing and one baby swing - so Will and Sophie took turns on the big swing. While Sophie waited her turn, she entertained herself by "pushing" Cecelia in the baby swing. :)

The girls.
Sophie does very well on the big swing!Beside the fact that Will is in total heaven when he is there, the kids also get to enjoy things like free hay rides in Papa's wagon in the fall. :)
It's harvest season, of course, so Papa was out on the combine on this beautiful weather day. Instead, Craig was our driver for our hay ride.

Grandma & Sophia
Daddy stops to bring Will up on the tractor with him.

Little Cecelia is a natural cowgirl! Look at her chomping on that straw!
So cute.
Sophie watches curiously, thinking "what is this girl doing?"
"Maybe I should give it a try..."
"Hmm... tastes earthy."
"Is this right?"
Kelly mocking the girls. :)
Nice face, Will.
In the afternoon, despite the 85-90 degree non-fall weather, we met up with our friends Tim & Angie and their daughter Addyson, as well as Kelly & Cecelia again for a visit to Fleitz's Pumpkin Farm. This place is an extremely popular, fall hot-spot for young and old alike. They have SO MUCH going on and so many fun activities for families.
Shockingly, we were able to snag two wagons in the "parking lot" (a.k.a. field) even though the entire city of Oregon seemed to be visiting Fleitz's at the same time that day. :)
Love this one.
Does she look like she's dressed for the pumpkin farm in October? Nope! Ugh -it was so hot.
Love, love, love their super cute set up.

Checking out the goats.
Sophie found a dried gourd that sounds like a maraca when shaken.
Tradition

She loves slides.
Unintentionally, Sophie and Addy were very coordinated!

Straw maze for kids under six.

Picking pumpkins.

Ha! So cute... again.
Attempted family photo... not so much. The kids weren't interested. It was too hot!

In the end, the lines were ridiculously long to actually purchase pumpkins and we decided not to wait. Instead, the kids and I came back Monday morning (I was off work because our babysitter was closed) and it was much more comfortable and less busy.
This time, I really let them lead and I just followed. It was much more enjoyable that way. That's why we always come here at least twice!

She wanted to climb up, but now she looks a little unsure. :)
Love this. So cute.
We chose a butternut squash to make our popsicles. I realize now that I said "remember" at the beginning of that post before I ever showed you these pictures. LOL

Craft Barn.

We opted not to do the hay ride since we just did one at Grandma & Papa's the day before, but Fleitz's offer them too.
Stand still for a second? Ha - not happening.

Aren't these so cool? I have got to come up with a decorating plan next year that uses more gourds. I love the colors! Especially the green-gray ones.
