Craig & Ashley - Part 7

October 3, 2004
Gift opening and brunch with bridal party, family and friends at my parents house.
I wore that pink velour sweatsuit that said "Just Married" on the back. :)
We received a couple gag gifts like this (broken) musical Mother Goose cookie jar. And to this day, we don't know who gifted them. We made several, comical phone calls to unknowing friends as we tried to call them out on their joke. Everyone was laughing hysterically.

One friend wrote this inscription in our card that I love:

Dear Ashley & Craig-
May your marriage be modern enought to survive the times.
May it be old fashioned enough to last a lifetime.
Best wishes.

Isn't that nice?

Honeymoon

Warning:
If you don't like looking at pictures of two people madly in love on a tropical vacation, you may want to skip the rest of this post. Haha! Also, please excuse the scantily clad attire... Two weeks in Hawaii! We lived in our bathing suits, of course! :)

Heading for the airport.
We stayed in condos with ocean view lanais both weeks. Ahh, heaven!
Aren't all honeymoons filled with attempted self-portraits or individual pictures? :)
Mmm! Dinner at Roy's on Maui.

Our wedding rings.
P.S. I painted my fingernails and toe nails almost daily. :)
Our journey on The Road to Hana.
Gorgeous waterfalls and hiking.
We met up with other honeymooners on our drive.
Does everyone do that? It seems pretty common to make friends on your honeymoon.
But we didn't see them after the Road to Hana.
Oh, and everyone was wearing their bathing suits.

Ah, the individual pictures when no one is around to take a couple shot.

Shopping and dinner in Lahaina.

Gotta' love Bubba Gump's!
Haha!
Shopping in Ka'anapali.
Whoever took this picture probably thought we were lunatics. Haha.
I wanna' go back! I wanna' go back!
Craig was trying to body surf and outrun the waves.
He was hilarious.

Look how young he looks at the tender age of 25. He turned 26 on our honeymoon!
Sunset dinner cruise.
Modeling his new board shorts and hat.

Dinner at the Hula Grill in Ka'anapali.
Helicopter tour of the island of Kauai.
Ick. Casey used to call these my Harry Potter glasses. LOL
This was prior to my venture into the world of contacts.
Wow! The views were amazing. In fact, we bought a "coffee table" book filled with photos to remember the experience. I'm not sure we've ever looked at that book... There's nothing like the real thing.

Another dinner out.
I celebrated Craig's 26th birthday by... getting myself a new suit!
Haha - two, actually.
More sightseeing on Kaui.

At this point, we were like: "Another waterfall? No biggie." It must be so strange to be a local and not get excited over a waterfall after awhile.
This meal (including an appetizer and dessert) was like $110 or something! And we didn't drink! Crazy!
Painted toes and "Just Married" flip flops.
I took way too many pictures of our feet on this trip.
Oh, and check it out... The bottoms also said "Just Married" so it would show up in the sand when you walked. It wasn't real visible, but whatever.
I wanna' go back! I wanna' go back!
