Mon Ami

Craig and I joined Casey & Wes and my cousin Brittany & her husband Troy for dinner on Friday night at Mon Ami Restaurant in Catawba to celebrate Casey's birthday.

It was so much fun to have dinner with both of these couples. Brittany & Troy live in Columbus and we see them mostly on holidays. And most of our socializing with Casey & Wes involve four other little people running around. :) So this was a very enjoyable, ADULT evening. In fact, Nana and Aunt Shirley (Brittany's mom) volunteered free babysitting together at Nana's house for all four kids! Thank you!

We ate in the Chalet and had some comical dinner conversation until about 8:30 when the live music began. Then we watched the wide variety of dinner guests (from ALL walks of life) throw their inhibitions to the wind and get their groove on on the dance floor. Interesting outfits... interesting couples... interesting (& fast!) footwork by a peculiar older gentleman... etc. All very entertaining! To make things more interesting, Casey and Wes had taken advantage of the price deal offered by the restaurant for two meals and a bottle of wine at a reasonable price. However, Wes was the DD... so Casey polished off an ENTIRE BOTTLE of Pink Catawba by her own 28-year-old-bad-self. ;)

They called the birthday girl up on stage and Casey confidently worked the cow bell and threw in a little hip action from time to time.

Brittany & Casey are about two months apart and we're already making plans of celebrating Brittany's b-day in June. Can't wait! Piano bar, here we come!!!

I'm including this one because of Troy's hilarious sneak-in on the side. Haha! Casey was leaning to talk in my ear because the music was loud and Craig was snapping pictures.

Hmm... what is Wes thinking here? :) I think he secretly likes this unabashed version of Casey when she's not wearing her mom hat. Craig and I fist-pumping to the music ala Jersey Shore. LOL

Oh, I'm so sorry to expose you to this inappropriateness... but it makes me laugh out loud every time I look at it. At first he was just kissing my cheek and then Casey said "Okay, now take a silly one." And ew! This is what he comes up with? Nice, babe.
