Miss Sophia went to the doctor on Wednesday for her two-year check up.
She loves playing with her stethoscope at home and when we listen to each other's hearts, she says "a-bum, a-bum, a-bum". :) So cute. When she looked a little nervous while Dr. Carmen was using the stethoscope, I said "a-bum, a-bum, a-bum" and she smiled.
Holy moly! The girl has grown! From 33" at 18 months to 36" at 2 years!!
She's a little OVER the 95th percentile in height now.
No wonder all her pants and tops are seeming cropped now! That puts her between the 75th and 90th percentiles (~80th?).
At age two, children are supposed to be measured and weighed standing upright as opposed to lying down. But for some reason, our office still has them lay down. Oh, and her weight was taken completely naked too. Also at age two, they stop using "infant" growth charts and start using the older child charts where BMI is calculated. Sophie's BMI is 15.8 which just means that her weight is very good in proportion to her height.
And head circumference? She's finally slowed down a tad. Still 19 1/2" putting her between 90th and 95th percentiles.
No vaccinations at this appointment. Just hemoglobin and lead tests and both came back fine with literally no reaction from Sophie.
R is for Riedeman! :)
