What's For Dinner? Week 3

This was kind of a bye week with meal planning. Most of my focus went into Sophie's party and our busy weekend. I prepared two big pans of lasagna on Thursday night before the party, made chocolate nests and frosted cupcakes Friday night, and made fruit flowers and fresh garlic bread on Saturday. Then my mom brought a big tossed salad for a side. The meal was pretty tasty if I do say so myself and I got a lot of compliments on the lasagna.

It was nice to have a cute table centerpiece this week following the party too!
I did put some thought into what Sophie might want to eat for her birthday dinner on Wednesday this week and, actually, one of her favorite meals that is always a guaranteed hit with her is cheeseburgers! We all love them and it had been awhile since we grilled. Plus, the ease of the meal was a plus for me! Craig went to Andersons to get hot dogs and hamburgers and he grilled several times this week. We also ate lots of fruit and veggies along side. Will has really been digging salads lately!

We did have some lasagna leftovers at the beginning of the week too.

For breakfasts, I made oatmeal in the crock pot last weekend and then carrot pancakes on Sophie's birthday morning.

So, sorry for the slightly boring week. I'll try to make it more interesting next week. Here are just a couple more pictures of scenes from our dinner table this week. We tried Will at the table without the booster seat a couple times and he did pretty well, but I think we'll keep him in it awhile longer.

Happy eating!
