Today is Earth Day!
I am so behind on book posts and have a bunch of things I want to share, but I'll have to get to that later. For now, here are some great books on Earth Day that we borrowed and enjoyed. Our favorite was probably the Dora book (Sophie wasn't really interested in the others) but Will and I read all of them several times. We actually had a pretty good discussion about why and how we take care of the Earth. He's going to take recycling to our drop off location with me this weekend and he's made lots of comments recently about shutting off lights and the TV (yay!) and giving old toys to other kids. We also talked about pollution, which was a new word for him.
This first one is a Nancy Elizabeth Wallace book and we've loved all of her extremely educational titles in the past too. The other books/authors will be recognizable to you.
This is an old weekly reader that my mom probably gave Will last year (he's always liked looking at these) and I brought it out to go along with the topic.
