Highlights from the last month:
1) Two new teeth.
2) Starting to repeat a lot more words/sounds.
3) Learned to climb onto the couch by herself. Still no walking and, in fact, an even greater refusal. Now she won't even take a couple steps. She drops to the ground as soon as you let go. Stinker. But she does love to walk around holding just one of our hands.
4) Enjoys rolling a ball back and forth. Can say "ba".
5) Current favorite word is "hi!" :) She says it OFTEN. We've also heard: papa, mama, dada, ssss (shh), ny ny (night night), uh oh, bye bye, etc. - though not with the same regularity.
6) Loves to take everything off of the book shelf in her room and showing a lot more interest in books. Loves when I sit her in the glider by herself with a book too.
7) Loves to give & receive kisses. Can now also blow kisses and makes a pretty good "kiss sound".
8) Loves to be tickled, especially getting lots of kisses on her belly.
9) Continues to expand new foods, i.e. pineapple, bread, some main dish/casseroles, etc.
Here are a series of pictures that I took of Sophie on Father's Day. I just LOVE them! She was sitting so nicely at the picnic table and when grandma brought over some watermelon, she was so animated while eating it. Sophie is such a happy girl and her smile is so infectious.
These faces are so "typical Sophie". :)
