Baby Fever

Baby Fever is in high mode in our house.

For my daughter, not me.  ;-)

Sophie is just addicted to babies.  She wants to be near them, touch them, talk to them, kiss them, look at them, etc.  And she doesn't discriminate!  Any baby will do.  :)  Except that they must be real and not dolls.  She doesn't fuss over her dolls all that much.  The (roughly) 6-month old baby in the church pew behind us on Easter Sunday got LOTS of attention from Miss Sophia.  The mother of the baby held her in a sitting position on the back of our pew for Sophie to give her a hug and kiss her toes!  Ha!  Clearly this wasn't that lady's first baby because NOBODY would do that with their first baby.  It's all about "sanitize or don't touch!"  I was actually the one to say "okay, Sophie, I think that's enough" with the baby at church! 

There are a few new babies in our family too and Sophie is in heaven when she sees them.  Last weekend, we babysat cousins Cecilia and Veronica for a couple hours on Sunday morning and Sophie had so much fun with both of them!

Veronica Grace is FOUR months old now!

Both Cecilia and Sophia are learning to use the toilet right now and so there was some mutual motivation in seeing the other girl go to the potty.  :)

Ha! There are no more babies in the plans for our little family, but boy would Sophie just be delighted to have a baby in the house full time.  That is... until she had to share mommy's attention, I'm sure.  I think it's best that we stick to just little spurts of baby time with other people's babies.  :)  So if you have an infant and you need a sitter... my three year old is ready and willing to be my assistant in baby care!
