Ha!
Those two words would never be used together in description of me.
I've had the Nike+ shoes and chip for the iPod since my birthday in January and never even tried to use it. Craig's parents also got me the arm band to go with and it just came out of the package on Sunday morning... and only because Craig made me.

I've wanted to use it - really, I have!
But as with everything else technical, I was intimidated that it would be a lot to figure out.
I know how to use the iPod Touch - we've had that since last fall - at least all the apps that I care about (read: Safari for internet browsing while nursing). But I've never organized a play list (no idea how to do that yet) and have never even tried to turn on the Nike+ app.
But as with everything else (like texting and blogging and paypal and Facebook), I'm always grateful that I tried it and am surprised by how easy and wonderful it is. (Except Facebook - I still don't care much about that.) It's just the idea of the unknown - and you know I don't like change - that scares me off. I think I get that from my mom.
So anyway, on Sunday before I went out for my run, I asked Craig if I could borrow his iPod Nano just to listen to music. He told me no because he wanted me to learn how to use the Nike+ thing. So I huffed around a little and just stuck the Touch in the armband, clicked the app, and chose open-ended workout. I didn't calibrate it, but I think it's still pretty accurate even without. And then I picked one of Craig's play lists and off I went. It didn't give me progress reports unless I pressed the button again, but maybe it would if I'd selected a timed workout or a distance goal? I also didn't program a "power song" so I didn't use that feature. But it was pretty cool to just press a button and hear my current speed and distance! And then it saves your workouts for review too.
As with everything else, I always wonder why I didn't try this sooner.
This week I'll calibrate it and some day soon I'll figure out how to make a play list. Yes, I know. I live in the dark ages. But guess what! I DO want an iPhone one day when Verizon gets there crap together. :)
Also, side note: I can never get those dang ear buds to stay in my ears! Are my ears misshapen? Craig's old Zune ear buds are the best I've tried, but I still feel like they slide around.
