Are You Sitting Down?

If you know me at all... you're never going to believe what I'm about to tell you:
Today I went outside and weeded quite a bit of our landscaping!!!
And I didn't even hate it!!!
I have ALWAYS hated anything to do with keeping up the outside of our house. I know that sounds terrible, but I HATE weeding and I definitely DO NOT have a green thumb.
I can't explain what's come over me, but I am turning over a new leaf, people! I'm totally motivated to clean up our property and work, work, work on house projects. I think I've just got some sort of nesting bug and I finally want to do some house work and take pride in my home. It's a really good feeling and I am excited to see some improvements. I mentioned before that I want to start a garden next year. I really think I can do it! But in the mean time, we've got lots of other stuff to take care of. I'll update as we get stuff done!

While we're gone, please help yourself to our garden. There will be tomatoes ripe, very soon, cucumbers, green beans, Limas, some kind of squash (volunteers from last year) and melons (hopefully). Sweet Corn too! Since the heavy rains - you'll have to look for the veggies - thru the weeds. Sorry, but feel free to weed my garden too.

I could literally copy and paste this post to my own blog. I feel the same exact way - I HATE anything yard-work related, but I've been itching to spruce up both the inside and outside of my house lately. I think I can attribute my desires to true nesting, given that I'm one month away from giving birth, but I just hope it lasts past that point!
