Sprinkler Fun

Warning: way too many pictures ahead!

And, yes, I realize several of them look almost exactly alike. But they're not! And I like them all. :)

It's been a HOT week. (Well, month actually.)

What better time to run through the sprinkler, right?

Will hated the sprinkler last year, but he's gotten much braver in lots of other areas and thought we should give it another shot. Plus, we have (had) a patch of new (now dead) grass in the back yard where the maple tree used to stand that is just really struggling to survive this scorching heat.

Will was very hesitant at first, but we ran through together and then he gained some courage.

He got the brilliant idea to grab some pails and try to fill them with water.

But he'd get this super goofy look on his face whenever he got up close and sprayed in the face.

Then Will and Craig played a game where they'd take turns placing a bucket over the sprinkler head and had to run up and quickly remove the other person's bucket before putting theirs on. Goofy boys.

There's the face, though not quite as dramatic.

Sophie didn't like the sprinkler either this year. She unknowingly walked right up to it at first and got so upset that she was getting all wet and didn't know how to get away from it.

Love that girl!

This is what Sophie thinks of the sprinkler... or really, water for that matter. (Unless it's a bath. She likes the bath tub.)
