New Babies At The Zoo

EVERYONE was at the zoo on Saturday. Literally. :) It was packed.

Our main goal today was to see the new babies that have been debuting this spring: Siku the polar bear and Enzi the giraffe. We also wanted to check out the new elephant and elephant exhibit, which is much closer-up now! Well, we accomplished most of that. We saw Siku's mommy (pictured just behind us in this photo) but baby Siku was not out and about while we were viewing.

Fun fact: baby Siku, the polar bear cub, was born on December 3rd and was the only polar bear born in a North American zoo in 2009.

Checking out the seals within the Arctic Encounter.
Baby girl road along in the stroller (very pleasantly!) today while Will mostly walked.
Here's baby Enzi! Born on December 26th, Enzi arrived at 6' tall and 150#! How's that for a birth weight? :)
Checking out the animals in the African exhibit.
Will's watching Enzi.

Will's first time on a carousel. He chose the zebra 'cause it looks like the Racing Stripes movie.
Crossing over the road.
Sophie got out to stretch her legs for a bit.

The elephants have a pretty nice, new pad!
Look how close up they are! Cool!!
The hippo was out of the water and taking a nap on land today.
Looking for the hippos - none were swimming today. But you can see the napping hippo in the distance.
Posing on the elephant statue. Not our best pic, but I love Sophie's face in this one.

We love our zoo!
