Dear Lord...

This is our prayer before bed: (Will does it almost entirely on his own)

Dear Lord,

Thank you for this day.

Thank you for mommy, and thank you for daddy, and thank you for Will, and thank you for Sophie, and thank you for Brutus, and thank you for all of our family and friends. [This used to be "God Bless mommy and daddy..." etc... but Will changed it to "Thank you for..."]

Thank you for our safety and our health and our freedom.

Please keep us healthy and safe tomorrow.

Help us to sleep well tonight so we can have a good day and be good people tomorrow.

Amen.

We also say "Bless us, oh Lord" before meals and occasionally say special prayers for certain people and circumstances as needed.
