Okay, not entirely picture-less. Who am I kidding? Just none that apply to this post.
I have been a bad blogger this week. But don't worry... I'll make it up to you over the next couple days. Stay tuned for lots of catching up.
Valentine's Day morning is when I first started feeling a sore throat coming on. In the back of my mind, I knew I was going to get sick but I just ignored it. Throughout the day, I continued to feel more run down and tired. Monday was a busy day at work and we were already short-staffed, so I had no choice but to go in. By the end of Monday, I had a full-on cold complete with sinus crap, sneezing and coughing. Blah.
Craig got a sore throat and stubborn head ache on Monday too. And by Tuesday morning, we were both calling off work. Actually, I let my boss know on Monday that I wouldn't be in Tuesday by the way I was feeling. So we got up with the kids and got them ready to go to Lisa's house for the day. Then Craig and I both went back to bed. I got up only to pump and go to the bathroom . Otherwise I was sleeping or laying down watching movies... ALL DAY... and the next day too. I. Really. Needed. That.
It was actually kind of nice - like a little vacation - except for all the tissues and coughing and inability to stand up without immediately wanting to lay back down. Our house was quiet, we got lots of rest, we hung out together and watched a bunch of "new" movies. I guess if I'm going to be sick, it's nice to have a sick day with my hubby.
So, here are my movie reviews for the week:
Valentine's Day = A-
The Time Travelers Wife = D
The Goods = C+/B-
The Ghosts of Girlfriends Past = A-
My Sister's Keeper = A
And this weekend, I'm going to see Dear John, so I'll let you know how that goes.
On Thursday, Craig and I both made it back to work. Still a little snuffly, but feeling much better. In the evening, we even took the kids to see the Lady Comets take on the Lake Flyers in basketball. This game was so hyped up, they sold out before the start of the game! Luckily, friends of ours got tickets early for us. We only stayed for the JV game because Varsity would have run us well past bedtime, and our main purpose for going was to see our babysitter's daughter (Alyssa) play on the JV team. Will was a completely non-biased fan. He clapped and cheered anytime ANYONE clapped and cheered. Alyssa played great and Lake won! It was an exciting game to watch.
Today is Friday and I have lots to do tonight. It's going to be an extremely busy weekend and I'm not anticipating much relaxation until... oh... next weekend. Catch ya later!
