I HEART Cute Food!

Heart-shaped provolone on mini English muffin pizzas.
I found a sandwich cutter that does two long, skinny hearts from one sandwich.
How about a cupid-esque watermelon snack?
Strawberry cream cheese, strawberry preserves, halved-strawberry hearts on whole wheat mini-bagels.

I give this suggestion to my juice-aholic patients all the time. Try freezing your juice in an ice cube tray and then pop juice cubes into a glass of water for a little flavor, a pretty look, and way less sugar. Will almost never gets juice, but cranberry juice cubes make a pretty Valentine-y treat.
I broke out my heart-shaped Le Crueset ramekins for serving melon at dinner time.
Here's my stuffed French toast, ala Rachael Ray. Combine cream cheese and strawberry preserves and spread between two bread slices. Cut into heart shapes and dip in vanilla, egg batter. Pan fry like normal. P.S. Will wasn't a fan. I should have known - he doesn't like cream cheese. But I thought I'd give it a shot. I thought they were pretty good!
I decided to prepare the Valentine treat for the sitters to send tomorrow (Thursday) along with the Valentines we made for the kids. (I have to grocery shop tomorrow after work and Thursday evenings are just too busy to add one more thing to do.) So heart-shaped, pink, rice krispy treats with a red trim. And I'll post the Valentines in more detail later.
I decided to just make a second tray of treats to take to my work too. I added some plain M&M's to this batch for fun. Hmm... still thinking about what to make for Valentines Day dinner. I'm now pondering using the heart ramekins (above) to make mini chocolate lava cakes. But I still want the chocolate covered strawberries too. Okay, so I've got two desserts planned and no main dish. Sounds like a good meal to me!

Ashley, I know I haven't met you, but I am Amanda's mom. I just wanted to tell you I have enjoyed your blog. Your children remind me of when mine were little, especially the snow pictures. I loved those. Your food ideas are awesome. I am afraid my 14 year old would not appreciate them, but a bet your little ones do! Happy Valentine's Day!
