We ventured out for another sledding trip on Sunday afternoon.
I know I'm biased... but I think my kids look soooo stinkin' cute in snow bibs. :)

Sometime recently, Craig took Will sledding and snowmobiling (his first time ever on a snowmobile!) during the week while I was at work. So, while he still enjoys sledding, I think the excitement of "sledding" with a motor is slightly more fascinating to him now. This sledding trip, we had to get a little more creative with "stunts" to keep Will from begging to snowmobile instead. Here, my boys are "snowboarding" (a.k.a. balancing together on a sled) for a ride down the hill.
That's some good balance, Craig!
Sophie did go down once or twice on her back as she used to...
...but mostly, she displayed some impressive abdominal stabilizer muscles (LOL) to keep herself upright in a sitting position without holding onto anything!
Good job, Sophie!
Finally, Papa broke down and brought out his brand new snowmobile to take Will for another ride around the fields.
Poor Will. He may be ruined of regular ole' sledding for good now.
Will checks out all the mechanics of the sled. I'm sure it'll only be a matter of time before he's a seasoned rider too. Craig's uncle used to own a well-known snowmobile dealership just down the road from here and Craig worked there on and off for many winters. I'm sure he'll be teaching Will a thing or two about engines and mechanics at a young age. (Have I ever mentioned that Craig has an old Corvette {1970-something?} that he plans to fix up with Will one day? Will already knows about it and can't wait. I'm sure that car will be their "baby" one day.)
Craig takes Will for another (slightly faster) ride. Hold on tight, Will! This picture reminds me of when I used to snowmobile with Craig when we were younger. Except I sat behind him with my arms around his waist and he often held onto my hands with one arm. It was so exciting! {Blush.}
After that ride, Will was done sledding and went in for hot chocolate with grandma while Sophie, Craig and I stayed out to sled awhile longer. Here, they were each on their own sled and Craig just held onto the side of hers.

Weee!
Craig and I had multiple "snowboarding" contests on both the longer board and the saucer, which were hysterical. And we even made a failed attempt at him "snowboarding" down with me on his back. LOL :) Side note: I think the next time we go skiing, I might like to try snowboarding instead! It seems pretty fun!
