After a brief thaw-out following Christmas, round two of "winter" arrived last Friday night and graced our front lawn with serenity the next morning. I love waking up to snow. Sort of like Mother Nature saying "surprise!"
You can also see how little wind was present because there really wasn't ice on these branches... just "heaped" snow. I love the stillness and silence of windless winter days and nights.
I also love sweet girls that peak out at their crazy mommy taking pictures from the porch when it's freezing outside. :)
Then just tonight, when I pulled in the driveway after work, I was in awe of the beautiful sunset and (once again) came out to snap pictures.

I am a huge fan of warm weather... but I DO love winter. And I don't think I could ever permanently live in a part of the country that doesn't experience four seasons.
