WIWW

We've reached temps in the 70's! Woo hoo!
Oh, I wish it could stay like this for about 2-3 months...
just beautiful, sunny days with temps in the 60's and 70's.
Maybe I need to move to San Diego...

As I was about to take my first picture of the week last Wednesday,
someone decided to walk in and join me... in her birthday suit and a set of beads. :)
P.S. - Amanda, I wouldn't recommend having Katie join you in this way - LOL.
On Sophie:
red beads (she LOVES these) - from my bachelorette party on Put in Bay in 2004
I have no idea why I still have these, but there were 3 strands that were hanging around a light in my closet and both kids LOVE to wear them. Umm... tacky? Anyway, in case you were wondering, I did NOT earn them. ;)
anklet - from the aquarium gift shop in Cincinnati for $1

Okay, back to me.
Wednesday
work and then haircut in the evening
(last pic with long hair!)

scarf - Old Navy
tee - Old Navy
favorite gray pants - Gap

I love this scarf because I think it looks sort of Anthropologie-ish without breaking the bank. Bought it a year or two ago and never knew what to wear it with. I've mostly tried it with a long sleeved gray tee in the past and it just wasn't working for me. But since I've been so hooked on turquoise and yellow lately (especially with gray as well), I tried it with one of those "slub" tees from ON and I LOVE this color combo!

Thursday
work

white slub cardi - Target
gray & white tank - Old Navy
khakis - Gap

Seeing this picture, I've found that I prefer these tops with gray pants, which is what I used to do and was just trying something different here.

Friday
work

top - Boden (2007?)
khakis - Gap

My thoughts: I have another pair of khakis that look much better with this top. I don't like the look of the crotch/pockets/waistline of these khakis with this top.
Also, you'll notice I'm trying a new method of taking the pic so you can see my face. :)

Friday night & Saturday morning
football game on Friday and Will's race on Saturday morning

lightweight pullover hoodie - Old Navy
weathered jeans - Gap

Over top, I layered with my new utility jacket from Old Navy. It reminds me of a cooler version of my mom's old "car coat". Did your mom have one of those? :) Love that it's getting chilly so I can break out my jackets and layers!!!
Saturday afternoon & evening
Labor Day party & girls night
slub tee with flower decal - Old Navy
jeans - Gap
cord jacket - Boden on clearance (from spring 2006)

Again, trying another picture angle - but I think the camera needs to be higher.

Remember this t-shirt? I've photographed it before.
And can I just say that I think I'm falling in love with my shorter hair?
I'll probably still get lazy and let it grow long again, but we'll see.
Sunday
bummin' around the house doing laundry and cooking + a few errands

pleated tunic - Kohl's
jeans - Gap

I am loving the longer tops/tunics/shirt dresses that are out right now!

Monday
bouncing around visiting family + a Labor Day party

striped shirt dress - Old Navy
jeans - Gap

Did I mention I'm loving longer tops?
Tuesday
work

white, short-sleeved, button up shirt - New York & Co.
blue cable sweater - New York & Co. (old)
favorite gray pants - Gap, of course
(they don't usually look that wrinkled in front)
bracelet - New York & Co.

I think this is the winning camera angle. It's easy, the camera's high enough and you can see my face. Too bad I look like a cheesed-out librarian. ;)

See you next week!

Oh Ashley I love you. I love your outfits this week especially THAT SCARF!!!!! I am such a scarf girl and the yellow and turquoise color does go together perfectly. Such a nice accent! I adore the picture of your smiling close up with your camera. You look awesome and you hair looks perfect! Unfortunately I have been really sick so I haven't done pictures this week. I have to tell you its a little depressing to go through a week without it. I'll have to make up for it next week! Keep em coming though, I love love love it!

Oh yes, and I'll have to discuss with katie about me holding her in her birthday suit, although I'm sure she will be ok with it! LOL!!!
