Holy Cow! How did it get to be September already!

I am more than happy to flip the calendar page this month though, in hopes that we can ditch the heat wave that's come over us. Thankfully, the weekend is promising to be cooler.

Fall is definitely my favorite season to dress for.

I love the colors and I love the crisp air that begs for light layers and fun accessories.

I can't wait!

Wednesdaywork

Thursday work and then catalog home party at my mom's in evening

tank - Boden (I wanna' say spring '08... and why I remember this stuff, I don't know :))

brown cardigan - Victoria's Secret

white pants - Express (super old)
necklace - I really don't know

notes: okay, remember I said I'm sorting through my closet and trying things I haven't worn in awhile? well now I hate these pants (the crotch is too long and the length is too short - not a good combo)... and I'm not crazy about the cropped look of the cardi either... and someone at work told me the necklace reminds them of a mood ring... and that made me like it a lot less too... soooooo, today helped me learn that I need to start getting rid of stuff I don't wear/like any more. more on that later...

I'll probably keep the cardi just because I don't currently have anything else I can wear over this tank to work, but in my opinion, cropped is out. I like longer tops/cardis/tunics lately.

Friday

but for some reason, I wasn't feeling the white shorts paired with this tank... it looked kinda' sloppy and took away from the tank... plus it was getting pretty hot, sooooo...
in the afternoon (after nap time) I changed into jean shorts (or "jorts" as Craig likes to call them) from Kohl's to:

go visit my grandparents and sister (I was feeling social and had some free time) and then we had friends over in the evening

I like it better with the jorts... do you agree?

Sunday

I'm not gonna' lie... I was in my pajamas ALL DAY. That is, until I showered in the evening and changed into new "jammies" cause I just felt gross. I'll spare you the boring... they were just cotton shorts and a t-shirt. We hung around the house and vegged all day. I don't even remember what we did. It was too hot to spend much time outside. Craig went to the GAF and brought me home some cinnamon almonds and that made my day! :)

tiny fake diamond on an "invisible" necklace - from my SIL - I don't know where from but it's probably my favorite necklace because it's simple and subtle and adds something without drawing too much attention

Quick question for you:

with these braided belts that don't have a sliding loop for the dangling end piece to tuck into...

how the heck do you keep the dangling length from... well, dangling???

it actually wrapped around to my back (guess the belt is too long?) and guess what my ghetto self did keep it looking tidy...

LOL - yep, a yellow twist tie - haha :)

It's actually a lot more subtle than this close-up picture appears and plus it was on my back and I wear a lab coat at work anyway, sooooo... try to unscrunch your eyebrows and just go with it, okay? :)
