A little Instagram love for you...
Pajama brunch morning with our best buddies today. LOVE, love, love Sophie's Christmas jambos!
Oh, Christmas card tree... Oh, Christmas card tree... How lovely are your "branches"! :)
I love getting all these beautiful photo cards in the mail each day! One of my favorite ways to "decorate". It'll probably stay up until Valentine's Day. ;)
Super elegant, adult holiday party at Craig's cousin's house tonight. Craig works with his cousin Jim... and Craig's aunt and uncle (Jim's parents) offered to watch the kids while we went. They got to play with their cousin Tabor (Jim & Heather's son) who's about four months older than Sophie.
Heather has started a wedding planning business where she decorates for the events with beautiful, vintage-looking pieces. So their whole house looks magazine worthy and she had her table set with these candelabras and roses.
My blinged out shirt for the party tonight. (From Express.) Love the lace on the back and I kind of have a thing for sequins, I think.
I was also channeling Kate Middleton with my shoes tonight. ;-)
On Sunday, we celebrated Veronica's 1st birthday and she made a fantastic mess with her cake. :)
Playing with cousin Celia in her ball pit.
The Christmas countdown is nearing its end!
Ice cream sundaes for Craig and me with marshmallow-laced hot fudge sauce (+ peanuts on mine).
I've been wanting to get some prescription sunglasses for YEARS. I really only wear glasses to drive and I might wear contacts for special occasions out, but mostly day-to-day and at work I don't use anything. So, frustratingly, whenever I drive, I wasn't able to wear sunglasses and it drove me nuts. There was really no excuse since we have awesome vision coverage with our insurance and they pay for something like $100 towards new frames and like $40-80 on sunglass lenses every single year if you want it. I just didn't think I would find anything I liked. Craig had always offered to get me some Oakleys 'cause that's what he likes, but I assumed those were all sporty, thick-framed, wrap-around things and that's not my style at all. I had no idea they made aviators too! So at our recent, annual vision exam, I scoped their small, in-store selection of women's sunglasses and these happened to be one of them. It's hard to tell, but the color is called blackberry, so they're a purplish black and the lenses fade on the way down. So they're Top Gun, but girly. They're SUPER comfortable with no slippage, so I'd feel comfortable even skiing in them, and they have all the options on the lenses (scratch-resistant, UV protection, etc.) I'm in love!
Sophie's fingerprints turned into snowmen on an ornament... from our babysitter. So cute!
I LOVE my homemade present that Will made for me at school! A painted mason jar candle holder with a jingle bell around the rim. Adorable!
Christmas PJ movie night at the Rethman house.
I'm addicted to nail polish lately. Like, obscenely addicted. The interest used to go in spurts for me. This is no longer a spurt. My collection is growing VERY rapidly and I repaint every 2-3 days before bed at night. This one is by Essie and is called School of Hard Rocks. One of my new winter time faves. It's a greenish-blue with gray tones in it too. Photos are always misleading.
This guy is a little sleepy from our fun night last night, but excited for PJ/Polar Express day at school today for his last day! He wore his robe and all!
