InstaFriday

The week in Instagrams:

Banana quinoa waffles for breakfast.  This makes a huge batch, so I lay a bunch out on cookie sheets and pop them in the freezer to freeze solid and place in a gallon plastic bag for later.
Headed to grandma and papa's while mom and dad get out for the evening.
Date night.  We did some shopping at Fallen Timbers, dinner at Blue Pacific, and then we missed our movie so we visited the casino for a quick walk through since we'd never been.  What a craaaazy place!  I'm not in a hurry to go back but it was neat to finally see.  We had a fun night!
Sunday morning - Will begged for blueberry pancakes and then begged to do nearly all of the work.  :)
Letters to Santa
I love Soph's new SKR Mary Janes for her holiday dresses.
Little mother, slinging her baby.
Story time
Many Makings' Thai Chicken Pizza for dinner.
My go-to books when I'm not scouring the Internet for recipe ideas.
Last year, I found a great recipe for a delicious, real-deal, hot chocolate and jotted it down on a post-it.  The kids and I loved it and it's sure hard to go back to the powdered stuff after tasting it.  After the holidays, I just stuck the post-it on the inside of my cookbook cabinet door and pretty much stopped paying attention to it.  But now it's sounding pretty good again and I have picked up the chocolate bars to make it pretty soon!  Yum!
Fresh out of the tub!  I hate it when the weather is so wet and muddy like this.  We practically have to bathe him every time he goes out to potty.  :(
Woot! Woot! My birthday getaway is booked!!!  Craig just got a new pair of skis and is itching to try them out.  He would love to ski far more than he ever has the opportunity to, but this winter, we're going to go together!...on my birthday!!...without our children!!...in New York!!  Weeee!  :)  I haven't been there in probably 11 years and we are so looking forward to a little getaway just the two of us.
Our Christmas Pajama Brunch invites went out this week.
Bonzai!  Karate class jumping drill.  :)
On Tuesday, I spent an hour addressing our Christmas cards and watching the VS fashion show.  Don't know why but I love that show.  Mostly for the musical guests and the crazy get-ups they put those girls in.  :)
The tree is finished!  Red + turquoise = LOVE.
Just need a new tree skirt now.
My boy.
Salted caramel chocolate chip cookie bars.  Holy mother of deliciously sweet and rich desserts.  ;)
Casey came over with all her packages and we put the smackdown on gift wrapping... while drinking wine... and eating salted caramel and chocolate... and watching Zac Efron in The Lucky One.
And that's how it's done...
We're feelin' pretty smug with our over achievements.  ;)

I was scrolling through the post and read the caption on the picture of Bruno (that is your dog's name, right? I forget) before I saw the picture and I was like, "Why on EARTH are they making Will potty outside when it's wet and muddy?" LOL!
