Saw this idea in Family Fun a long while ago and tore it out for my ideas binder. After a recent shuffle through the binder to filter out stuff I don't care about anymore and find some new things to try, I came across this and decided to give it a try. It's ridiculously easy.
Step 1: Push a marble into a balloon and then blow it up.
Step 2: Let kids toss balloon around and watch the weight of the marble send the balloon into all kinds of crazy, flip-flopping, unexpected directions. :)
This would be a good activity when you're stuck inside in the winter, but we tried it out while the kids and I waited for daddy to finish primping (kidding) so we could go out to dinner for grandma's birthday.

Both kids kept trying to look into the balloon to spot the marble.
Cheap thrills. ;)
