Pretty Piggies

I never shop at Gymboree anymore.

But back when Will was a baby, I did on occasion. And one day I overheard a sales lady helping the mom of a little girl finish up her shopping by suggesting "Oh, do you want the 'hair pretties' that go with this outfit?"

I almost gagged. I also thanked God I was shopping for a boy. She said it like that was an actual term... like "pretty" was a noun instead of an adjective. I think I left the store right then so as not to have to deal with someone that obnoxiously cutesie.

Fast forward four years.

I still will never-in-a-million-years call them "hair pretties" (they're just "hair clips") but they do make my daughter's pig tails awfully pretty. :)
My mom bought this outfit for Sophie from Gymboree for Christmas last year and she's worn it a bunch of times. Somehow, I overlooked the hair CLIPS that must have gotten pushed back in her drawer, because I've never remembered to pair them with the outfit.

So last week, I decided to dress her in it again with the CLIPS and she looked cute enough to eat. So... I took a bunch of pictures before work that morning. (It's no wonder I'm late to work all the time.)

This one is Craig's favorite. Probably 'cause she looks like his female twin.

Will dressed himself this morning. Shorts are a little crooked, but I straightened them up after taking this.

Speaking of hair clips, we need some new, larger ones. I prefer the snappy types for Sophie, but we need to move up a size to maintain her increasing amounts of hair. I still like the size of the felt clips I've purchased from Etsy in the past, but has anyone bought larger snappies from Bows2Cute? I need to check her site out again. It's been awhile.
