We spent Sunday morning at home getting Sophie's room made over and washing laundry to hang out on the line. (LOVE my clothes line!) Fresh bed sheets for everyone... a little playing outside... tasting a new popsicle recipe... and then nap.
Upon waking, we loaded the kid into the car and drove over to Uncle Taylor's new apartment to check the place out and meet up with him for Putt Putt. I didn't get any pictures in the apartment but both kids loved the balcony over looking the large pond.
We drove to Perry Falls on Rt 25 just south of Levis Commons and played a round of mini-golf for the kids' first experience.

Taylor has been happily working in his new job, moving into a new apartment and spending a lot more time with his family. We love this new, grown-up person! It's so nice to see more of him and the kids really enjoy his company too.
Goof balls.
There was a little practice green just before the first hole where you could putt around a bit before starting.

Love these.

Sophie's fake smile. :)
In retrospect... they're a little young yet. Both had trouble holding interest for that long and ANY amount of waiting between holes (for the rest of our group to play) seemed to be way too much to expect of them. It was a lesson in patience for both children and parents... :) But for what it was worth, it was fun.
Back at home, we ate dinner, took baths and then got back into clothes to meet up with friends for the Woodville fireworks. Before leaving though, we went outside to throw down a half box of those snapper popper things in the driveway. This was probably the highlight of the weekend for the kids. ;)

I was so impressed with both kids (especially Sophie 'cause it's very unlike her) to make it up till the 10 p.m. fireworks display and then stay awake all the way home till they crashed into bed a little before 11. They were both very pleasant this evening too, though Will has had a bit of a difficult weekend with listening and following directions.I think this is my favorite picture of Will and Craig to date. :) We were walking to Woodville's Homecoming Carnival.

We met up with our friends, the Bachmayers, and their two adorable kids. The kids had races up and down the slight hill we were sitting on and clearly enjoyed each other's company. We always enjoy hanging out and catching up with them. Hopefully it happens more often this summer!
This was Sophie's reaction for the first five or so minutes of the fireworks: covering her eyes. Then at one point she spotted a purple one and a switch flipped and suddenly she loved them. She took turns sitting on Andrea's and my lap.
