Beautiful Evenings

Don't you just love those first few days of the year when the weather starts to show signs of spring? It puts everyone in a brighter mood and you see people out walking, bike riding and playing in the yard (all of which we've done this week!)... as well as those crazy teens wearing tank tops and flip flops just because it reached 50 degrees. These last couple days have been nice enough to go out without heavy coats and today was sunny and gorgeous! We're enjoying it while it lasts, 'cause I heard it's going to drop and get ugly again this weekend.

Yesterday after work, Will wanted to get out and kick his soccer ball around for awhile. We basically got out of the car and went straight to it. He really enjoys playing and I love to watch him. He's getting a little better and sticking with it longer now. It really makes me want to look into a Lil' Kickers group for him, even if only for a couple months or so. Uncle Dub, wouldn't you be so proud?

While Will kicked, Sophie sat in the stroller and watched from just inside the garage (less windy).
She loves to hold my camera lens cap for me. :)

Every so often, Will would come up to Sophie and just squeal and talk high-pitch to her. She loved it and she just adores the attention from her big brother. I can't tell you how much I love these next few pictures. It just melts my heart.

Pretty soon, daddy pulled in the driveway on his way home from work too. Will went to sit on the deck steps like I asked him to stay clear of moving vehicles.
Then tonight, with the beautiful sun shining, we tried Sophie out in the wagon for a longer walk (as in, more than just around the driveway). Well... first Will insisted on pulling her around for awhile before he jumped in too.
Thank you Cora for the sun hat!

On our way to walk the neighborhood roads. Will was such a good, big brother, holding onto Sophie the whole way. :)
After changing clothes, Craig hopped on his bike and came out to join us for our walk.

Craig was circling us on his bike and bouncing a little to play with the shocks. Will kept saying "daddy, you don't bounce it... you ride your bike!"
Love my silly man!
After our walk, we came in for dinner. Sophie had a voracious appetite tonight! She ate turkey loaf, peas, grapes and baby cereal pancake (which is basically like a dinner roll to her - hehe). She was so intent on her tray and just kept eating so I just kept putting more out for her. She normally stops herself so I just assumed she was making up for some other lesser meal time. Little piggy!
More teeth brushing practice. I say to him "okay, now spit". He proceeds to swallow... and then make a pointless, clicking sound with his mouth while leaning over the sink. We've got more work to do...

Sophie looks just like her Nana in the close-up picture in the sun hat! Maybe we should call her Sophie Peggy! LOL

Seeing your kiddos and their oh-so-adorable relationship with each other is making me wish even more than my #2 will be a girl! (Though I know boys can have the same type of relationship).
