InstaFriday

My "fast food" lunch last weekend.  It's more of a walk by snacking between loads of laundry going out on the line and other household work.
Orzo with bacon and summer vegetables... I'm thinking YES!  And I'm thinking SOON!  Can't wait for our garden bounty.  Love this blog - she's hilarious.  (Bevcooks.com)
What's up, Doc?  The kids visited Aunt Lori's garden and got to munch a freshly pulled carrot.  :)  P.S. Sophie's wearing an old sweatshirt of Uncle Taylor's because she was cold.
On Tuesday, we went to Oak Shade Grove for one of the GBU steak dinners that Craig's parents always invite us to.  There's a huge open grill under that shelter house looking building where all the men are huddled around and tables inside the hall with salads, baked potatoes and desserts.  Kids favorite part about the evening?  The playground, of course.
A sign on the gate at Oak Shade (which happens to be where the German American Festival is held every August)...
Somebody needs to teach the Germans about double negatives...  I'd take that to mean "let's go party beyond the fence!"  ;-)

Not a great pic of my kids, but a cousins pic nonetheless.
Practicing reading with an Easter egg.  Word family on one half ("-at" in this case) and a bunch of fitting beginning letters on the other half.  Twist and change the word while repetitively practicing the word family:  cat, bat, hat, sat, etc.  She LOVES this!  And it made sense to her.
Pretty in purple.  Zoya Aurora.
Variation of side crow.
Bharadvajasana - another nice twist with half lotus and a bind.
Padmasimhasana.  Lotus backbend.  Please excuse the icky face and hair.  I was sweaty.
Getting twisted.  Left arm straight back on floor, right arm bound on left thigh, left leg bent with toes tucked.  Twists are like a massage for your insides.
Side plank variation.
Headstands and some fun arm/leg variations.  I love being upside down.
