The truth is: there hasn't been much of either of these things for the second winter in a row. And I don't mean to go all tree-hugger on you, but global warming is kinda freaking me out.
This morning, after picking kids up from my parents, we shoveled the little bit of snow from the driveway (Craig's kind of anal about having it clear) and then packed up our new sleds and headed to Maumee Bay for our very first time sledding out there..
Of course, as soon as we got there, the sun went behind the clouds and my pictures turned out rather dark. Boo. Plus, as you can see, the sledding hill was a bit wanting in the snow department. So the two vinyl-bottomed (?) sleds got a little scuffed up from the rough ground beneath the little bit of snow. Kind of a dumb move on our part. Ah well. Live and learn. This is the big hill we always climb and run down in the summer during our visits to Maumee Bay.
The last one cracks me up. Sophie was in Craig's lap on the little round sled and the snow kept blowing up in her eyes. So she had her eyes covered with her mittens the entire ride down and she kept slipping further and further down till you could only see her boots and hat. Haha!
