InstaFriday

Saturday morning... pancakes for breakfast!  We have lots of variety with each of these things, but we eat pancakes or waffles or oatmeal pretty much EVERY morning.
Saturday night... my Christmas tree assembly wing man.  We just did the tree itself this night.  I wanted to get some new lights and decor this year since this is a new tree for us.  We got my sister's hand me down since they were upgrading and I LOVE IT!!!
Sunday morning... playing Sequence with the kids.  Christmas music playing in the background.  :)
Sunday was a BUSY day!  I got out to Once Upon a Child and made an incredible profit on things I was selling.  Also picked up the tree lights from Target and then came home to pick kids and Craig up to drive right back out to where I came from (kids had to nap, and my errands were boring) to visit Bass Pro plus Home Depot for Craig.
At Bass Pro shooting a bow and arrow.  We were way too late for Santa (tickets gone) but not for games!  I'm good with "Santa from a distance".  ;)
A recreation of Will's pic from a couple years ago.  :)
Since our trip to Bass Pro was kind of a flop, we made our quick run to Home Depot and then decided to push off the dinner plans I had for the night to another time and take the kids out for burgers and fries at Five Guys.  I don't even remember the last time we'd taken them out to eat anywhere.  The food was so greasy but so good!  And for dessert, Craig and the kids got strawberry shakes!
Sunday night after tucking the kids in, I got to work on the Christmas lights.  Ugh... I HATE this job.  Ornaments?  No problem .  But putting on the lights kinda sucks in my opinion.
Tuesday - school day!
Lefty
Pot of butternut squash soup (before adding the cream) for work potluck on Wednesday.
S'more bars fresh from the oven.  Ooey gooey goodness.
Our stack of books for the Advent countdown that we do in December.  One new book (to read and keep) every night after dinner from December 1 - 24!  I draw from our list of library favorites throughout the year and sometimes throw in a new Christmas paperback from Scholastic that we haven't read.  But mostly hardcover or board books ordered from Amazon.  Can't wait!  We love this tradition!
Preschool snack for Craig and Sophie's helper day on Thursday:  sweet potato mini muffins (recipe from Weelicious).  Apple slices served along side.  They went over very well!
Dear Santa,
I would like an iPhone dock for my bedside, a new Lisa Leonard necklace, a book light so I can read while Craig's trying to go to sleep or on those nights that the kids need some extra snuggling but I'm trying not to fall asleep myself, and the Smitten Kitchen cookbook.  Please and thank you!
The face of a tired mommy... THIS lady is going to bed early tonight!  Unheard of!
Sophie and her special helper getting ready for their honorary day at preschool!
