You're kidding.
It's November already?
They're playing Christmas music in the stores?
Halloween is over?
I don't believe you... Anyway, it's in the 60's today! Surely, you must be mistaken. ;-)
I swear, this is the most unprepared I have ever felt for a new season. I'm totally out of sorts with the calendar and I'm left dumbfounded each time I realize another week has gone by.
As usual, we've been busy!
So this post is going to compile a little bit of everything. :)
Here is what we've been up to lately...
We've attended some flag football games for our buddy Jagger... and teamed up with Jagger's siblings to wreak havoc on the sidelines. ;) I swear, they're never seated like this. Typically, they're running and tackling each other. (And P.S. - sorry for cutting off the top of your head here, Char!)
Jagger is a natural athlete.
We've taken another trip to the pumpkin patch... just because.

We've played around with some new head gear... err, eyewear...
{tough guy}
{mommy's glasses}
We've welcomed another friend to karate class: Jagger!
Sadly, Cora's taken a leave of absence while she mulls over whether martial arts is "for her". Haha. And our pal Charli is waiting on Cora's decision before she's willing to give it a try too. But Will continues to love it and I think Jagger is enjoying himself too!

Will... punching drill or Heisman pose? You decide.
We've done Sophie's 30-month well check, both kids flu shots and both kids dentist appointments all in the same morning. There were zero tears out of either of them for the flu shots! And both did very well at the dentist office as well. I brought the camera along to take pictures of Sophie in the dentist's chair (since I didn't take any at her first appointment) so Craig let her take a couple pictures in the waiting room to pass the time.
And then Craig took this one of her standing right in front of him. This is the standard "cheese" face now - very squinty eyes - and then she immediately wants to see the picture you just took.
It took just a little convincing that she would be safe, and then Sophie sat in the chair all by herself and let the super (SUPER!) nice lady clean her teeth. She loved the new toothbrush she was given and also the little bracelets she picked out of the treasure chest.
This is Craig's and my regular dentist, but it's the first time we've brought the kids here and I'm so glad we did. They were awesome with the kids! I loved this hygienist!

We've attended my cousin Abbey's wedding (sans children) on October 29th. The wedding was gorgeous and the food was amazing, as anticipated.
Wes & Casey brought their girls to the reception and they looked adorable in their dresses and dancing to all the music.

Haha- this picture makes me laugh. They were such troopers even past bedtime!
We've officially pulled out our vegetable garden for the winter. This is a huge job! And it was so sad to see all the green tomatoes leftover that never got their chance to ripen. But at least they'll help fertilize the soil around us.

We've had a few warmer evenings that we've taken advantage of for playing outdoors after work.

What a pose!

(Will got the clean up award at school this day.)

And they're off!
{You can see our bare garden plot in front of Will there beside the garage.)
We've been permitted a few minutes of movie time post-bath while daddy gathers jammies and lotion and cleans up the bathroom.
The Disney movie Aristocats has been the biggest obsession these past couple weeks. We borrowed it from the library and it's requested DAILY and holds their complete attention.

And we've piled into our big bed the morning after the time change just to stretch out the rise-and-shine time as long as possible. It's nice to cuddle as a family like that, but it usually just amounts to a bunch of heel kicks to the back and legs from some squirmy, impatient children.
We've thoroughly enjoyed this past sunny weekend and spent some more time outdoors. Here's another attempt at a together-pic before going over to Nana & Papa's for Papa's birthday dinner. Darn wind... Sophie couldn't keep her hair out of her eyes. :(

One of my new favorite outfits on Soph! It's a Tea Collection t-shirt dress that I bought her not too long ago when I got a sale code on a catalog. I've never ordered from them before but have always admired their kids apparel. I love the dusty blue color! I paired it with her Old Navy "skinny jeans" and Target brown boots. And she has an Etsy rosette clip in her hair that coincidentally matches perfect!

Out of all that interesting information, I have the most random comment/question...
Is that Craig's side of the bed he is laying on in the picture with the kids? I've honestly never met anyone who's husband sleeps on that side of the bed - everyone I've ever had the side-of-the-bed discussion with says that's the woman's side.
Told you it would be random ;)
It IS crazy how fast the time is flying! Sophie looks a lot like your mom in that pic with your glasses.
Amy- haha! I think it's just because of how our bed is positioned in the room. Craig's response to your question: the man should sleep closest to the doorway to "protect" his wife. It's funny that you ask (I like random discussion topics like that) because I didn't even know that's why we slept like that! Too bad it's pointless since I'm the lighter sleeper! I'd have to wake my "protector ". ;-). Anyway, I vaguely remember it being my preference to sleep on that side anyway.
