I've been meaning to do this post since January, but haven't ever finished taking pictures since my camera broke. So I'll just do it in parts...
I love making note on my blog of some of the gifts our kids receive for different occasions so we can remember when they were received and look back from year to year. Both kids were given a lot of great gifts this past Christmas and have enjoyed playing with all of them so far. I'm not just listing favorites, either. These are simply things that I remembered to get my camera out for a picture, while they were in use.
Will loves these encyclopedia science books and the coordinating pen that reads the facts aloud to you. He becomes so engrossed in them as they include many of his current favorite topics.

This Melissa & Doug car carrier has been a big hit. The top levels slides back and then down for "loading" and the trailer detaches from the truck. Very cute. I love wooden toys.
Transformers. Will has gone from interest to obsession almost overnight. A few of his friends have been interested for a long while, so he had been curious. But now he carries these things around all the time and is constantly asking Craig to help him transform them back and forth from robot to car/truck. It probably took Craig several days or repeated trying before he could master them. One is "expert level", the other "medium", I think?
Sophie is constantly serving up muffins and cupcakes in her little kitchen. She is particular about certain candles going with certain colors of frosting. :) And I think the little mitt is so cute on her.
