I always look bigger (and somehow crooked!) in the frontal pictures.
Recent preg-tarded moment: Last week, I found out that my co-worker delivered her baby a month early (we're scrambling a bit in the office now to pull off our crazy patient schedule!), and I was in a daze for the rest of that morning. I had packed a small tea cup with a packet of oatmeal for breakfast - vanilla almond and flaxseed. Well I popped it into the microwave without adding water and the oils from the almonds and flaxseed burned and smelled terrible! That odor takes awhile to dissipate. Eew.
We went to the doctor for the usual check-up on Friday. I met with a different doctor from the practice and she was super friendly and bubbly. Craig and Will came along and got to hear Sophia's heartbeat with me. I'm measuring right on and my blood pressure was good. Their scales are always way off because they said I weigh 125 and I'm positive I'm more like 130 by now. I'll have to recheck at work this week. I've gained about 13#. My next appointment is February 2nd - I'll be 28 weeks then (starting the 3rd trimester!!!) and will have to do the one hour glucose tolerance test. They draw your blood, make you drink this horribly sweet orange drink, then wait an hour without any food or drink and draw blood again to see how your blood sugar reacts. Fun, fun.

Ashley, I hated the glucose test! After drinking that horrible orange drink I felt awful. The nurse said to me, "well, we're trying to simulate what would happen if you ate a whole bunch of chocolate bars." I replied, "then why don't you get me to eat a whole bunch of chocolate bars? That, I could do!"
Good luck with the test. I know it's not your first one, but if you didn't try it before, holding your nose while drinking seems to take some of the sugary edge off.
