Happy Birthday, Mom!

Last week on January 8th, my mom celebrated a milestone birthday: her 50th! She went out to dinner on the eve of her special day, which fell on a Thursday, so Casey & I decided to surprise her with a day at the spa on Saturday. As most of you know, we had a ton of snow on the ground and not much less on the roads. We were hesitant to go, but we braved the elements, took it slow, and the view of the snow falling out the huge windows in the pedicure room was totally worth it. Mom enjoyed a manicure, pedicure and one-hour massage, along with breakfast & lunch on us. It was a really fun day.
