Lunches this week:
Monday:
Contents: raspberry vinegarette dressing for salad, a small square of chocolate zucchini cake, tomatoes, green peppers and carrots, spinach salad with pecans and dried cranberries, a halved/pitted plum and some chocolate chips.
Tuesday:
Sophie's lunch (on the left): avocado honey dip with honey wheat pretzels, cucumber "sticks", corn sheets and tomatoes, cottage cheese, sliced peaches and chocolate raisins.
Will's lunch (on the right): avocado honey dip with honey wheat pretzels, ham 'n cheese kabob, cucumber stickes, tomatoes and corn sheets, halved plum and chocolate pretzels.
This was Sophie's helper day so I packed my own lunch and ate with Sophie after school. It brings me ridiculous amounts of happiness to watch my kids take thrill in food I prepare for them. And there's something about the PlanetBox that makes it seem like they're unwrapping a gift to find their food. Her face lit up when she lifted the lid and, of course, I was so pleased to witness her reaction.
Wednesday:
Contents: peaches from Grandma's trees, tomatoes from our garden, peanut butter banana and honey roll ups, raisins, popcorn, a spinach cake muffin and chocolate chips.
Thursday:
Contents: 2 fruit and veggie muffins, sweet beet cookies and cucumber sticks, peaches and red pepper, fruit and seed bar, and a chunk of cheese.
Friday:
Contents: red pepper and carrot sticks, 2 mini plums (halved), dino pb&j's, brownie bites and honey wheat pretzels, pistachios.
