Opening day at Fleitz Pumpkin Farm was gorgeous in the morning. We arrived early and it was already more crowded than I expected. I prefer to get there in mid-September when the crowds are smaller, but it seems Fleitz's get busier and busier every year.
We just wandered and let the kids take the lead, selecting only a few pie pumpkins and a couple small striped ones for décor. My boss happened to be visiting with her daughter so we chatted with them for a bit and the kids ate warm donuts with cider. We made sure to hit all the farm's hot spots, except for the longer corn maze and hay ride... which we will save for a second trip. :)
Sniffing out the best pie pumpkins.
I always get carried away with pictures on days like this. The weather, the light, the mood, the season. I just want to capture it all.
